Trust & Transparency

This page explains how Raffio operates to ensure fair, transparent, and verifiable prize competitions. Our systems are designed so participants can verify that outcomes are determined fairly and independently.

Fairness and Transparency

Raffio operates draw systems independently from hosts. Hosts cannot select winners, control draw timing, or access draw mechanisms. All draw processes are platform-controlled and transparent.

Winners are chosen using randomness from RANDOM.ORG, an independent third-party service. Before each draw, Raffio commits to a single-use RANDOM.ORG ticket and publishes it — so we cannot re-roll for a preferred outcome — and after the draw the signed result can be checked against RANDOM.ORG by anyone. Every draw occurs only after entry closure and cannot be influenced after the fact.

For every completed draw, Raffio records the competition ID, draw timestamp, total number of valid entries, the winning ticket, and the full signed provider evidence. You can browse past draws on the Results page — each links to a permanent verification page — and read the full method on the Fairness & Draw Verification page. These records are retained securely and can be reviewed in the event of a dispute or audit.

Qualifying Question

Before completing entry, participants are asked to answer a simple qualifying question. This question serves to ensure that competitions operate as skill-based prize competitions rather than games of chance.

The question is straightforward and designed to be answerable by anyone who has reviewed the listing details. Answering correctly is required to complete entry, and each valid entry is recorded and associated with your account.

Free Postal Entry

Raffio offers a free postal entry method as an alternative to paid ticket entry. This allows participation without requiring payment, supporting the platform's commitment to operating as a legitimate prize competition rather than gambling.

Postal entries work alongside paid ticket entries. All entries, whether postal or paid, are treated equally in the draw. When a draw closes, a winner is selected at random from all valid entries regardless of entry method.

To enter by post, participants send the required information by mail so that it is received by the competition's postal entry deadline. Valid postal entries are processed and included in the same draw pool as paid entries. See postal entry instructions for details on eligibility, required information, and where to send entries.
