Raffio runs every competition on the platform itself. This page sets out what Raffio controls, what an approved host can and cannot do, and how money and entries are handled, so the promises made elsewhere on the site rest on something you can read. Who does what

Competitions
A host proposes a competition; Raffio reviews it and nothing goes live until Raffio approves it. Ticket prices are set by Raffio as part of the published competition structure, and what may be offered is bounded by the Prohibited Items Policy.
Payments
Every entrant pays Raffio, never the host. Card payments are taken on our PCI-compliant payment provider's hosted checkout, and Raffio does not store full card details. Raffio handles processing, refunds and disputes under the Refund Policy; a host never handles customer money.
The draw
The winner is selected by RANDOM.ORG, an independent randomness service, after the competition closes. Hosts cannot select winners, influence the outcome, control the timing or access the draw, and Raffio cannot control or re-roll the random selection either. Winners and prizes
Raffio confirms every win and manages the claim from start to finish, collecting any details it needs on the winner's claim page rather than by email. Once a claim is approved, the host carries out the physical step only: dispatching the prize or the agreed collection or handover. Raffio tracks it and handles any problem, delay or question. Host settlement
Where a prize is supplied by an approved host, any payment to that host is withheld until the prize's fulfilment has been evidenced, and is released by Raffio.

Approved hosts only

Raffio is launching with platform-managed competitions. Future hosts are reviewed and onboarded individually, by invitation: there is no self-service host sign-up. Raffio keeps full discretion over which hosts are approved, what they may offer, and whether they continue on the platform.

The qualifying question

Before completing entry, every participant answers a qualifying question. It is what makes these skill-based prize competitions rather than games of chance: the question is straightforward for anyone who has read the competition details, a correct answer is required to enter, and an incorrect answer is not entered into the draw.

Free postal entry

Every competition can be entered free by post, with no account or purchase required. Valid postal entries go into the same draw pool as paid entries and are treated identically in the draw. Eligibility, the details to include and where to send them are on the Free postal entry page.
